A series of traditional oil paintings created referencing photographs of people utilising virtual reality technologies. These paintings which varied in scale up to 4x6’ were made from reference images taken from various print publications during the hype surrounding the introduction of the first generation of virtual reality technologies. I was interested in capturing the moment in time through the very traditional, and lasting, use of oil paint on canvas.
